Keep Washington Affordable, Say No to Higher Taxes
Living in Washington Is Becoming Unaffordable
Instead of proposing solutions to make Washington more affordable, the legislature is looking to make up a budget shortfall at the expense of Washington residents by considering a property tax increase.
This increase will be on top of the myriad state and local taxes that already go into buying and owning a home. This will make housing more expensive for everyone, even renters.
As Washington families tighten their household budgets, our politicians have increased state spending by 40% over the last two budget cycles1. Now they want cash-strapped families to pay for it.
